Hello Families, We have a short week next week, no school Monday, 1/15, MLK Day. Here are our centers for next week: Treasures from blocks of ice (WATER): Uses language to discuss observations. Uses language to discuss basic physical phenomena. Uses new words in meaningful ways. Shows interest and curiosity in learning new concepts. Sculpting artist’s clay (ART): Investigates and describes various materials. Creates original artwork to express thoughts, feelings, and energy. Creates three-dimensional artwork. Explores with wet media. Asks and answers questions and gives directions. Painting with colors from Rabbits & Raindrops (EASEL): Creates two-dimensional artwork. Recognizes and names basic geometric shapes. Uses appropriate positional terms to describe where things are in space.
