After a few snow days, we will be back will a full week; new centers and small groups! Here's what's to come.. Painting with Straws (Science): Observes and explores materials and events in the environment. Explores and discusses what air is and what air does. Explores with various media to create artwork. Uses classroom materials purposefully and respectfully Shows interest and curiosity in learning new concepts and trying new activities. Easel Painting with Winter Colors (Art) Making Clothespin Fences (Dramatic Play): Engages in socio-dramatic play. Uses language to sustain with peers. Playing with Goop (Fine Motor): Uses a variety of materials to strengthen hand grasp, flexibility, and coordination. Uses classroom materials purposefully and respectfully. Small Groups: Writing-Blank Book and Pencils: Uses a variety of writing and drawing tools. Experiments with letter forms. Recognizes letters and names. Math-Let's Make Tangram Pictures:Uses Tangram cards to compose shapes into larger figures. Recognizes shapes in multiple orientations. Math-Number and Numeral Matching:Counts sets of objects.
