Hi families! A few reminders: Please return re-enrollment forms by Friday 1/13. Monday 1/16: MLK Day No School Next week, we will be working on OWL Unit 3 (Wind & Water) Week 3. Our centers are posted below. Treasures from blocks of ice (WATER): Uses language to discuss observations. Uses language to discuss basic physical phenomena. Uses new words in meaningful ways. Shows interest and curiosity in learning new concepts. Interacts appropriately with other children by cooperating, helping, sharing, and showing interest. Develops beginning understanding of states of matter. Sculpting artist’s clay (ART): Investigates and describes various materials. Creates original artwork to express thoughts, feelings, and energy. Creates three-dimensional artwork. Explores with wet media. Asks and answers questions and gives directions. Painting with colors from Rabbits & Raindrops (EASEL): Creates two-dimensional artwork. Recognizes and names basic geometric shapes. Uses appropriate positional terms to describe where things are in space. Builds finger dexterity and uses thumb/forefinger pincer grasp. Pincer clothespin number and numeral matching (MATH): Uses simple tools. Says number names at least to 12. Performs fine motor tasks that require small muscle strength and control.
