Hello families, Next week we will begin OWL Unit 5 – Shadows & Reflections. Our centers are posted below. Looking for reflections in bubbles (WATER): Observes and explores materials in the environment. Investigates and describes states of matter. Performs tasks that require fine-muscle control. Reflective paper collages (ART): Creates two-dimensional artwork. Builds finger dexterity and uses thumb/forefinger in pincer grasp. Explores and experiments with dry media to create artwork. Building with blocks and mirrors (BLOCKS): Interacts with others appropriately by cooperating, helping, sharing. Uses language to develop and maintain relationships. Explores spatial relationships. Children will build various structures and use mirrors to create reflections. Digging for hidden treasure (SENSORY): Uses a variety of tools and materials to strengthen hand grasp, flexibility, and coordination. Makes comparisons among objects. Sorts objects into subgroups that vary by one or two attributes, or by category.
