Next week we will be beginning Unit 3 of the OWL curriculum – Wind and Water. Our centers for next week are below.
Sailboats (WATER): Explores what air is and what air does. Uses language to discuss or describe observations. Interacts appropriately with other children by cooperating, helping, sharing, and expressing interest.
Painting with straws (ART): Observes and explores materials and events in the environment. Explores and discusses what air is and what air does. Explores with various media to create artwork. Uses classroom materials purposefully and respectfully. Shows interest and curiosity in learning new concepts and trying new activities.
Building with blocks (BLOCKS): Interacts with others appropriately by cooperating, helping, sharing, and expressing interest. Uses language to develop and maintain relationships in play. Explores spatial relationships.
Playing house (DRAMATIC PLAY): Interacts with others by cooperating, helping, sharing, and expressing interest. Uses language to develop and maintain relationships in play. Begins to recognize and respond to the needs and emotions of others.
Small group: Blank books and pencils (WRITING): Uses a variety of writing and drawing tools. Experiments with letter forms. Recognizes letters and names.

Important Dates & Reminders:
Christmas Concert – December 15th @ 1:00 and 6:30. Children perform in both shows. Children should be back at school by 6:00PM for the evening show. More info to be sent home.
Christmas Pajama Day – December 20. More info to follow.
Christmas Party – December 22. School-wide half day. Noon dismissal. No Extended Day.
School Resumes January 3, 2017.
